Repair Services

Memofix repairs hard drives, tape backups, libraries and other computer peripherals. Our hard drive recertification centre is specifically designed to eliminate clients concerns regarding security and privacy of data (see "Protecting Your Data" document). We have up to date testing equipment, factory trained technicians and strict ESD handling procedures. Most repairs are completed in 2-3 business days and carry a six month warranty. Memofix has an extensive service inventory of hard drives and tape backups and offers advance exchange and same day product replacements.

To obtain a price quote or to send a defective product to Memofix for repair or for Memofix warranty you should submit the online RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) form or you may request a copy of the form be faxed to you. This form can be accessed by selecting "Repair Service" on the right side of the screen. Manufacturers' Warranty

Memofix administers product warranties for Quantum, Certance (formerly Seagate Technology's tape division) and Antec in Canada.

To initiate manufacturer's warranty claim for your defective product you must submit the online RMA request form or you can fax your request to (905) 660-4951. Fill out the form and submit it to Memofix (you will be prompted to log in or to register if you have not done so at the beginning of your session). The product's warranty will be verified by Memofix and a confirmation, the RMA number, will be e-mailed or faxed back to you authorizing the return. It usually takes 4 to 8 hours to process a request. Properly package the product, clearly mark the RMA number on the outside of the box and ship the product prepaid to Memofix.
